Measure Your Appeal Letter

Your mission, should you choose to accept it…

This month we are learning some formulas to help you determine the level of success of your mailing.

Why you need to do it:

The measurements we decide to use backs up the goals we make. It’s how we can objectively judge whether an appeal has met, exceeded, or fell short of the goal.

Some measurements can also be used in our fundraising efforts. Knowing how much money goes back to a program instead of paying for the appeal can be powerful.

We can also use measurements to see our costs per piece mailed so we can understand how to keep costs down going forward.

What you actually need to do:

This is where you write the action plan for the Lesson.

For example:

1. Watch the video above.

2. Download the Implementation Guide and the Appeal Evaluation and Analysis Template.

3. Use the spreadsheet with your next appeal campaign.

4. Share your questions and what you’ve learned in Nonprofit Nation, the Facebook group.
